Christmas 2011

Thanks to all the family and friends that made this Christmas so special. For those of you far away, we miss you! For those who are close, we're so glad we got to spend time with you.

Highlights of this Christmas season included:

A new Christmas tradition. Jace surprised us all with the start of a Dickens Christmas Village that we will add to each year. Thanks, babe!

Abby's choir performances took us all over Northern Utah, from benefit concerts to an outdoor amphitheater on a cold, frosty evening. She was part of the bell ringers for two songs and it was awesome to see her truly in her element--performing music for all to enjoy. The music was breathtaking and became the soundtrack to Christmas 2011. Thanks, Abby!

We went to the mall to shop and enjoy the decorations. Later we went to see the lights at Willard Bay. The kids rode the Christmas train around the mall. Will was a great big brother this year, reading stories to Sarah, answering her questions about Christmas, playing with her and being an all-around great kid. His enthusiasm for Christmas was infectious and it made the season bright! Thanks, Will!

Christmas morning brought us more than we could possibly imagine. We were all good boys and girls, from the looks of things. The look on Sarah's face when she saw this dollhouse that is almost as tall as she is was priceless. It belongs in my top 10 reactions to a lovely surprise. Her excitement for participating in our Christmas traditions, helping us start new ones, and singing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" over and over and over made the season very merry indeed. Thanks Sarah!

Happy New Year from us to you! We'll see you in 2012!
