I asked Sarah to try on a new shirt I had for her. She was resistant and so to encourage her, I said to go look in the mirror upstairs so she could see it.
She stomped up to the bathroom, then shouted down to me, "I look weird as a button!"

Well- you know, buttons are pretty strange!
ReplyDeleteI never did understand why "cute as a button" meant cute, because buttons rarely are. It makes sense to insert the adjective of your choice with button, don't you think?
