Under the Sea

Only 3 weeks late, here's a recap of Sarah's 5th birthday party--mermaid style--on June 12. She invited her closest friends Brook and Katelynn Hastings, her cousins Lily, Wren, Sam and Thomas, and her friend from preschool, Gayle, plus Kirsten from church. Abby and Will were guest hosts and helped with the games and activities.

















This is the jellyfish game, where you have to wiggle like a jellyfish and pass the hula hoop from one person to the next without letting go of hands.

















The watermelon whale with fruit salad complimented the mermaid-themed menu.

















We had octopus hot dogs, goldfish crackers, shell pasta salad, blue jello with a fish inside and sea urchins (pink marshmallow treats).
















Activities included making beaded necklaces, mermaid crowns and frosting sugar cookies. Don't forget the sprinkles!
















Thanks to Abigail for her hard work--she ran the party so Grandma, Cyndi, Melissa and I could visit! "Sea" you later!
